Creating a personal vision can help you gain clarity on what you want out of life. If you don’t know where you’re going, how will you know what action to take to get there? This post shares with you some ideas about clarity and why it is so important. Below you will find some journal prompts to help you get started on your personal vision.

So… What is a personal vision? From my perspective, this is an outline of what you see for yourself in the best case scenario. If you woke up in 10 years and you had your ideal life - what would it be like? Where would you be? How would you spend your time? Who would you be with? etc.

Something I think is very important to note, is that your personal vision shouldn’t be a timeline of when you want specific things to happen. When we attempt to plan in such a way, we are often left disappointed. Rather, your personal vision should centre around the type of person you are - your personality traits, your lifestyle, where you might see yourself living, and so on.

What if you have no idea what you want in 1 year, let alone 10!? Well, here is where the clarity piece comes in. Doing the work to gain clarity on your personal vision will allow you to take intentional action to get there. If you know what type of life you envision for yourself, you can start taking actionable steps in order to get closer to that reality.

Here are some journal prompts that will help you get started. If you are having trouble seeing the big picture, feel stuck in your current situation, but you want to make real change so you can manifest your dream life - take a look at my coaching offerings here.
